We are the same age, have been dating since October. Had alot of ups and downs but ironed them out and the last few times together have been great! (since he wasn’t drinking his vodka). He says he wants me, not to date anyone else and he could love me. A couple of times he told me he bought me a 1/2 karat ring ( I assumed just a friendship ring). I asked if he was serious? he said yes. Then he told me he couldn’t afford the ring b/c it cost 6,000.00. Bull. A 1/2 karat doesn’t cost that much! Then a couple of times he asked me what did I want for Christmas. I told him something I can wear from him like a piece of jewlery. Then I was shopping for him & text him & told him Santa was coming to his house. (Was just dropping to him that I was shopping for him!) Then he asked me again, and I felt on the spot so I said you could ask one of the clerks at the mall. (goofin around). The night before Christmas eve he told me he wanted a gold bracelet. I am not working right now & I told him that would be costly for me. Last night I stopped by his place to give him something and he said he didn’t shop for me!!!!!!!!! I was MAD! but didn’t let him know it. He said he will take me shopping next weekend & I can show him things that I like. I think this is too weird. I already gave him an idea. Jewlery. He is going to take me shopping a week after Christmas? I went threw hell trying to buy him the right things and I am not even working! I almost traded in 2 rings of my own to get some money to buy him extra nice stuff but the jewler was only going to give me 0.00 for 2 beautiful rings. I bought him 3 different cross necklaces b/c I couldn’t decide. I bought him pillows for his couch 0.00 (but took them back to buy the crosses) and I bought him drinking glassess b/c he has cheap plastic & cracked! About a month ago I was in mens dept. w/ my girlfriend, he & I were on the phone & he came right out & told me what cologne he wanted!!!!!!!! I can’t afford that stuff. He has money! works full time & repos cars. How do I handle Christmas day? I don’t want to give him the stuff I bought him. He took no effort to shop. He bought for his 2 kids, and had me get him 4 movie certificates for his X-wifes kids who he doesn’t even see! (w/ his money)!! & had me find a special picture frame for his X (she is remarried) & I went to 9 damn stores looking for it. He shopped 2 weeks ago, took a whole Saturday and didn’t think of me? I don’t even want to see him tomorrow. But I don’t think he put the effort in shopping b/c he might go to jail for assult w/ another guy (but wasn’t his fault) in January. Last nite I dropped off a real cute singing card to him. No response, I texted him if he read it. Then I had to ask him if he read it & all he could say was yes, I like the card. He is pretty strong about me, so he says, he tells me he misses me all the time but couldn’t go shopping? I feel betraded and used!
He is only getting one of the crosses. Taking others back. GIRLS….wouldn’t that make you mad if your boyfriend told you he bought you a 1/2 karat and he really didn’t? OMG
